London Stock Exchange: FTSE 100 closes at -1.8%, down ‘mining

The London Stock Exchange closed the trading day with the FTSE 100 falling by 1, 8% in the negative wake of Wall Street.
The mining sector continues to suffer from falling commodity prices.
Yates reports that the uncertainty of the markets about the economic recovery could propitiate a period of take profits.
